I've got homework now! Awesome discussion. Can't wait for part two! But I'll ask that you no longer disparage Horror Horror or Ghosts and Vampires going forward. ;)
Not true! Vampires can do all kinds of neat tricks, I think you're thinking of the 1980s teen boy vampires and effete ones in evening suits. Real nosferatu types are proper scary, see the Swedish "Let the Right One In" for reference.
Ghosts, on the other hand, are some wussy little try-hards without much going for them - "oh look at me, I'm so sad".
Matey, I knew you were joking of course. It's great to see Mark Proksch the energy-sucking vampire triumph after being so badly victimized for so many years by Tim Heidecker on On Cinema At the Cinema.
Brilliant! Enjoyed this discussion very much. Ever think of starting a podcast?
Thanks very much WP3! No, I have no real interest in podcasts.
I much prefer the written word. And film image. And music. Maybe a combo of all those things. But people droning on and on, I have no patience for it.
Second part coming up soon. As the violinist said to the old fiddle, stay tuned.
Ahhh! And one of my favorite movies!

No, I somewhat unfortunately missed that one. Too busy attending Brahms recitals in the conservatory, don'tcha know?
Highbrow, lowbrow... it's all just art to me. I'd put Stay Tuned and Nothing But Trouble right up there with Tarkovsky and Kubrick. 😆

vampires, i hope, can hold their own
To be fair, most of them kinda suck.

I was making a joke! Let the Right One In is one of the best. ❤️ Also a big fan of the energy vampire in WWDITS. haha

[Furiously revises part 2 to remove all disparaging remarks about Stephen King]
TY Seany, get going on your homework because there'll be a test at the end...
🤣
